HINOKI AROMATHERAPY BALLS

Hinoki Aromatherapy Balls can bring the scent of a dewy forest into the sanctuary of your bathroom or bedroom. Drop them into a steaming bath as "yudama" bath balls and let their subtle fragrance diffuse into the air as you take a long luxurious soak, or tuck them into drawers for a refreshing aroma that also repels moths.

Hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood oil is believed to have antibacterial effects and other properties, making these balls not simply a pleasant experience, but at restorative one. Crafted by Hoshino Kyogo, each one is made from sustainably sourced forest-thinning wood.

So simple to use and easy to care for. Dry naturally in the shade after use, and if the scent begins to fade, just sandpaper the surface and they'll be brought back to life.

Established in 1958, Hoshino Kyogo focuses on sustainable wood, using Hinoki (Japanese cypress wood) collected from forest-thinning in Tochigi Prefecture. Company members personally accompany the Tochigi Prefectural Forestry Association to select appropriate trees to be thinned for healthy woodland growth. The timber is part naturally dried, and products finished by manually operated machinery before being checked in person.
